Wherever we go in Local 804, members who work inside are telling us the same thing…
Members say they don’t see their business agents enough especially on twilight, midnight and sunrise shifts. Supervisors working is worse than ever. They say the membership needs stronger representation like we used to have in 804.
Local 804 Members United has an action plan to build union power for inside workers, including:

Local 804 Members United has an action plan to build union power for inside workers, including:
* 24-Hour Union Representation: UPS is a 24-hour operation. Our union needs to be one too. We will increase representation in neglected shifts and work areas. Business agents will be on call and available 24/7.
* Form a Stop Supervisors Working Task Force: Executive Board members and Business Agents will make surprise building raids as part of a local-wide program to stop supervisors working violations and make UPS pay.
* Fight for More Full-Time Jobs: UPS is violating its obligations under Article 22.3 to create and maintain full-time combo jobs. We will document where full-time combo job have been eliminated and we will take coordinated grievance action to fight for more full-time combo jobs.
* Create an 804 Teamsters University: We will cut officer salaries and perks by $400,000 and put the money to work for the members. The classes at the 804 Teamsters University will give stewards and members tools to enforce the contract and defend the rights of their fellow Teamsters.
