A message from Tim Sylvester

The vote count today affirmed what we have heard for months from Local 804 members. It is time for new leadership and a new direction in Local 804.

On behalf of the entire 804 Members United Slate, I want to thank the membership for your overwhelming support in this election and the confidence you have placed in us to lead this great union.

The Local 804 Executive Board fought a hard campaign.  We thank them for their many years of service to Local 804 and look forward to working with them in the days ahead.

An incredible 3,579 ballots were returned—more than any local election in our union’s history. This record turnout is further proof of how much Local 804 members care about our union.

During the campaign, we were divided between Row A and Row B.  But first and foremost, we are all Teamsters.  The 804 Members United Team will reach out to every steward and every member.  And we will work hard to earn your trust and support.

The 804 Members United team outlined 10 Changes we will make to build a stronger Local 804.  We are committed to this reform program.

Informing and uniting members to build a stronger Local 804. That was the principle that drove this campaign.  And it is what will guide us as we assume the responsibility of Local Union office.

We need you to make it happen.  We will be looking for your ideas—and asking for your involvement.  Together, we can build a stronger Local 804.
